If we freeze bananas we don't need ice for smoothies. This can dilute it, but sometimes this may be necessary because we do not want to get just a fruit / vegetable cream. In addition, ice keeps our drink cold longer. What we choose to accompany the fruit also contributes to the consistency of a smoothie: milk, kefir or yogurt. It all depends on the taste or what we have in the fridge when we feel like a smoothie.

I first chose bananas for this smoothie, because I wanted something that would energize me quickly after a week of virus & gt are high in calories, and have a lot of health benefits: it helps digestion and frees us from ulcers, reduces stress, maintains skin beauty, protects the heart and bones.

The second important ingredient was peanut butter, a powerful antioxidant that boosts immunity. And I really needed this. In addition, its fats are good for the heart, it has fiber and protein that make it full. I will not go unnoticed ginger, another energizing, invigorating ingredient, perfect for my low immunity.

INGREDIENT:

1 large banana or 2 small bananas

5 g black cocoa powder

1 tablespoon ice flakes or 1 ice cube

We prepare all the ingredients at hand, so that we can finish quickly. Even the mixer was brought to the table and in a minute everything was ready.

Put the milk and banana in the mixer container, then add the cleaned and sliced ​​ginger.

We will then put the peanut butter and cocoa powder. At the end we add the ice cube or ice flakes and put the mixer to work.

In one minute I got a delicious smoothie with bananas and almond butter.

Pour it into a glass / cup, decorate with 2-3 preserved banana slices and a little cinnamon.

For those who know me, it's no secret that I really enjoy drinking smoothies. My favorite is the green smoothie, and the one I present to you today is the one I make most often: smoothie with spinach, banana and apple. This smoothie is energizing, quite filling and can replace breakfast when you're on the run and you don't have much time to prepare something else to cook or you just don't feel like it. It also happens that you don't feel like it, and a smoothie can be a quick solution.

I think 4 out of 7 mornings a week I start with a smoothie. Either it is a protein smoothie, where in addition to the liquid base and fruits, I also put oatmeal, seeds (chia, flax, hemp), or a smoothie based on fruits and vegetables. Of course, this smoothie cannot replace a full breakfast, that is, to drink only the smoothie and ready, but next to it I will serve something else.

As I told you above, the green smoothie is my favorite and I like to make all kinds of combinations:

  • spinach, banana, avocado, lemon juice, 150-200 ml. the water
  • lettuce, banana, apple, kiwi, 150-200 ml. the water
  • spinach, apple, avocado, cucumber, lemon juice, 150-200 ml. the water
  • spinach, apple, cucumber, celery, parsley, orange, banana, 150-200 ml. the water
  • spinach, apple, banana, ginger, lemon juice, 1 teaspoon turmeric or cinnamon
In general, for a successful smoothie you need:

1. Liquids: water, green tea, natural juices, milk (normal or vegan). Choose one of these (I use water most often or when I want it to be a creamier smoothie, I add plain yogurt 2.5% fat)
2. Fruit with a creamy texture: banana, apple, pear, peach, mango, avocado. Optionally, 1 maximum 2. Most often I use 1 banana, for the sweet and creamy part).
3. Extra fruit: berries (strawberries, currants, blueberries, raspberries), kiwi, oranges, lemons.
4. Vegetables: spinach, lettuce, kale, celery stalk, carrot, beets, cucumber, ginger (yes, yes, it's a vegetable). Most often I use spinach and lettuce.
5. Herbs: parsley, mint, coriander, basil
6. Spices: cinnamon, nutmeg
7. Seeds: chia, in, hemp

An important thing to mention is that when you want to make a smoothie, do not overdo it with the ingredients. Yes, smoothies have earned their title or place in the category "healthy foods"= healthy food, but if we are not careful what we add to them, they can become mega caloric and full of sugar (fruit sugar). My advice is to choose 2 maximum 3 fruits (1 banana + 1 handful of currants / blueberries, 1 apple + 1 kiwi + 1 banana, 1 banana + apple + orange etc). On the liquid side, the safest way would be to choose water, not natural juices. If you still want the smoothie to be a little creamier, add vegetable milk or 2-3 tablespoons of natural yogurt.

For an even creamier texture, I recommend adding frozen fruit, ice cubes, 1/2 tablespoon oatmeal. As a stew, all you need is a blender and the ingredients needed to prepare a smoothie. You can find the combinations as you experiment with them.
