Ingredients

  • 1 large banana, peeled, sliced, frozen

  • 1 cup chilled orange juice

  • 1/2 cup plain nonfat yogurt

  • 4 ice cubes

  • 1 tablespoon honey

Recipe Preparation

  • Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend until msooth. Divide smoothie between 2 glasses and serve.

Healthy Mango Orange Banana Sunrise Smoothie

If you&rsquore the type of person who skips breakfast a lot, then you&rsquore in luck. This healthy mango orange banana smoothie is made with just 5 ingredients and is perfect for breakfast or anytime of the day. It&rsquos thick and creamy and sweetened with natural honey. To begin, simply place the mango, orange, banana, yogurt (or milk), and honey in the food processor. Blend for 2 minutes or until the mixture is thick and creamy. Pour into glass cups, top with extra mango or orange (optional) or sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy!


Strawberry Banana Smoothie with Yogurt and Orange Juice

This is the perfect creamiest smoothie for your summer, introducing the strawberry banana smoothie with Greek yogurt.

What more to say, Greek yogurt is the smoothest of them all. However, Greek yogurt alone might have some tart flavor, so the spoon of honey is there to encounter that. Just choose plain Greek yogurt and you will be fine, no need for vanilla since we’ll be blending fruits as well.

I add orange juice to have some liquid in there, but you could use milk or plain water if need. I just love the enhanced flavor, and figure that the tangy taste of orange complement strawberry quite well.

Fresh strawberries work best, however, you might want to pre-freeze them a bit. Why you may ask? So that you could have the coldest smoothies possible. Nobody likes their smoothies lukewarm after coming out of the blender right?

Any banana will be fine, as long as it ripens enough to be eaten. Don’t cut your banana too soon, as its color easily change and thus reduce the final presentation.

Add crushed ice if you need to, but if you chilled the ingredients first or use frozen strawberries, then skip the ice.

If you want a variation, try replacing strawberries with other fruits or berries. I found that raspberries and peach work well together. Blueberries work great too. Those are my favorite fruit smoothies, what’s yours?

this was a good smoothie. totally refreshing! although i did have to blend a couple ice cubes with it, otherwise it was really good!

Preparation of orange banana and yogurt smoothie in the Thermomix

Peel the orange and remove the seeds and skin, leave it without the white part as it is slightly bitter, so remove as much of it as possible. Peel the banana and add it, if you add strawberries or raspberries, clean them well.

Put all the ingredients in the glass, remember that the sugar is optional and the banana if it is a little soggy better, since it will be sweeter and will add more flavor. Program 120 seconds / progressive speed 1 to 10 (this is to go up in speed slowly, especially slowly from 5 onwards).

Add a very small pinch of salt and mix well, this will bring out the dairy flavor of the yogurt. It must be a mini pinch, something tiny.

    JUST SOME SMOOTHIE MAKING TIPS:

    USE FROZEN FRUIT:I like to use frozen bananas instead of ice cubes in my smoothies. And to make it super easy, I just buy the frozen bananas in the frozen section of my grocery store, because I’m all about making things quicker and easier. If you don’t have frozen bananas, you can use 2 ripe bananas and add 1 cup of ice cubes instead.

    FILL UP YOUR BLENDER:When putting the ingredients in your blender, layer the ingredients softest to hardest (frozen). So for this orange smoothie, add the orange juice, greens, yogurt, and honey first. Then add the frozen bananas and carrots. Lastly, top with the orange zest.

    • 3 cups (720 ml) water
    • 4 (520 g) medium oranges, peeled
    • 4 (400 g) small frozen bananas, peeled
    • 1 1/2 cups (320 g) frozen blueberries
    1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
    2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed.
    3. Blend for 45 seconds or until desired consistency is reached, using the tamper to press the ingredients toward the blades.
