I baked the cake for 40 minutes in the preheated oven at 180 degrees C.

800 gr sugar
7-8 tablespoons flour
200 ml liquid cream
1 pc butter
200 gr gem
1 can of sweet milk
1 pc. quince.peach, grape, pear
1 sachet of red jelly cake

Method of preparation
We prepare the tray, we peel the apples. Grease the pan with plenty of butter, sprinkle with sugar and then put the apples, peeled and with the hollow from the seeds, upwards. In each apple we put a teaspoon of jam. Put the tray in the oven until the burnt sugar cream is ready. From 500 g of sugar, 700 ml of milk and 6 eggs.
Mix the eggs with the milk and then add them over the burnt sugar in a saucepan. After the sugar has melted, pour the composition over the apples in the oven and then put the tray to bake again.
Until the burnt sugar cream is baked, prepare the top of 6 eggs, 100 g of sugar, 6 tablespoons of flour and half an envelope of baking powder. Pour over the burnt sugar cream on the worktop and bake the tray again for about 25 minutes. After removing the tray, turn it over on a tray and let it soak in the top of the burnt sugar cream. For decoration, we caramelize 100 g of sugar and milk sweets, then we slice the fruit to soak them in that syrup. Garnish the cake with delicious fruit and whipped cream on the edge. For the dough:

grated peel of 1 lemon

1/2 teaspoon natural vanilla essence

For the filling:

1 tablespoon sunflower oil

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder

We still need: 1 tablespoon gray

I started to prepare the tender dough for the apple cake, taking care to prepare all the ingredients at hand and I left them for 30 minutes at room temperature.

I put flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt in a bowl. In another bowl I mixed the oil with water and sugar, until the sugar dissolved. I put the liquids over the flour, I mixed a little, then I added the flavors: grated lemon peel (organic) and natural vanilla essence.

I kneaded the dough until it became homogeneous and elastic and did not stick to my hands. Given that it does not have butter in the composition, I am not afraid that I have to work quickly, so that it does not melt.

You may need another 50 g of flour depending on the humidity and how it is stored.

I divided it into two equal parts, then I spread a sheet and put it in the tray lined with baking paper.

I prepared the filling. I shaved the apples and put them in a large pan. I sprinkled them with lemon juice, I mixed them well to get the juice over all the apples, then I added the sugar, oil and cinnamon.

I hardened them for about 7 minutes, then I left them in a sieve for 5-8 minutes, in order to drain as much liquid as possible. I mixed with a spoon through them, so that the liquid drains easily.

They must not have liquid because it will influence the texture of the countertops.

During this time I spread the second sheet and turned on the oven, at 180 ° C & # 8211 on ventilation.

I sprinkled semolina on the first sheet (in order to absorb the liquid left in the apples), I put the apples from the strainer over it and I spread them, so that the layer is uniform, of the same thickness.

I covered with the second sheet of dough and put the cake in the oven for 30 minutes. The dough layer is thin, it bakes safely during this time.

I took the cake out of the oven and let it cool, then I took it out of the pan and cut it. When it is cut, it must be completely cooled.

I didn't have the patience and I cut it faster, when it was slightly warm. It broke a little on the edges, but no one was upset.

Everything was eaten! In record time! At 13.00 it was ready, at 16.00 there was no trace of cake. It's not bad, it's easy, so I'll make another one tomorrow. Or I'm preparing a new recipe.

The simple apple cake is definitely that homemade cake that fits perfectly in any season. From summer apples, the small and fragrant ones, to the autumn harvest that lasts in the pantry until spring-summer.

Some call it "apple pie" although it has no pie sheets but sheets of tender dough. In Transylvania it is also called "poronio or poronyo with apples" (from the Hungarian "porhanyos" where "por" means dust). That is, something very fragile, fragile (omlos the Hungarians also say). It is also called here (in Arad, Bihor, Satu Mare, etc.) almás pite.

As you can see in the pictures, the sheets are thin and the filling layer is generous, not a joke! The apple cake is tall, not a flat thing with thick dough and "traces" of apples in the middle.

Apples for stuffing should be more sour and should not be hardened. Neither my great-grandmothers nor grandmothers from Arad hardened them but put them raw, grated on a large grater and well squeezed. There was no lack of natural aromas of cinnamon and lemon peel that make this delicious and tasty dessert delicious. You can use apples directly in the pie jar if you have made them according to our recipe (meaning cruel!).

We also have a variant of apple cake with tender dough with less butter where you can also use a butter mix with lard & # 8211 see here. The recipe has been tested by millions of readers. The decoration of this apple cake can be one of powdered sugar (applied on the hot cake, just taken out of the oven) or one of beaten egg and forks drawn with a fork (as I did this time).

From these quantities results a 35 & # 21530 cm tray with a simple apple cake and fragile dough with butter and cream.

  • 500 g flour
  • 200 g cold butter with 82% fat
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 80 g thick cream with min. 20% fat
  • a good pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or 2 sachets of vanilla sugar
  • grated peel of a lemon

Mix eggs with a pinch of salt until they turn white and double in volume. Add powdered sugar, vanilla essence, oil and milk, then flour mixed with baking powder. We will have a composition like a thicker cream, just like the cake.

Pour half of the composition into the tray (20/30 cm) lined with baking paper and put in the oven heated to 180 degrees (150 degrees electric oven, with ventilation) for 10-15 minutes, until the top takes on consistency, but not it browns. After this time, remove the tray, evenly distribute the hardened apples mixed with ground walnuts and cover with the other half of the dough.

Bake again for about 30 minutes, until browned on top. Portion after cooling.

We all have a favorite apple pie recipe, one we make whenever we feel like it is a good thing. This recipe is ideal for cases where we stay in the fridge with some apples that no one eats. Of course, apples can be replaced with pears, quinces or other fruits you want to use.

In addition to apples, I sometimes add frozen berries or frozen blueberries. Berries generally go very well with apples and give both color and taste to the cake. For this apple cake, I used 4 large apples that I peeled and cut into cubes. The variety of apples does not matter, choose the apples that you like and that you eat with pleasure.

The apple cake is left in the oven for about an hour in the electric oven, but can reach up to an hour and a half in the gas oven. To make sure it is ready, check the cake with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean, the apple cake is baked. I like to serve this cake for breakfast, with a large cup of coffee with milk or a cup of aromatic tea. It is very good as a snack, but also for a picnic, or as a package for the little ones at school or kindergarten.

You can take it with you to the office or you can give it as a gift to a dear friend.
