Chocolate cake and coconut balls

You need for coconut balls:
250 g cream cheese
100 g coconut
100 g powdered sugar
1 yolk
You need for the chocolate countertop:
100 g dark chocolate
100 g butter
120 g brown sugar
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
120 g flour
1 tablespoon starch
1 sachet of baking powder
4 eggs
20 ml whipped milk
You need for topping:
200 g milk chocolate
100 ml liquid cream
1 tablespoon coconut
You prepare like this:
For starters, prepare the coconut balls, mixing all the ingredients. Shape balls of this cream between your palms and place them in a tray with removable walls, which you line with baking paper. Put the tray in the fridge until you prepare the chocolate top. Melt the chocolate and butter in a bain-marie. Meanwhile, mix the eggs with the brown sugar, then add the whipped milk. Add the melted chocolate to the egg mixture, together with the butter and mix until smooth. Stir in the flour, mixed with baking powder and starch, then pour the dough over the coconut balls. Bake the cake with chocolate and coconut balls in the preheated oven, at 180 degrees Celsius, for 35-45 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test. Take out the baked cake and leave it to cool. While it cools, prepare the glaze. Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie, then mix it with the liquid cream. Let it cool until it hardens, mix once more, then spread the icing over the cake. You can sprinkle a little coconut over the chocolate topping, when it is almost hardened.

I wanted to cook a cake from Merişor's beautiful blog and, at the request of my daughter who loved the look, I chose the Chocolate Cake and Coconut Balls. Method of preparation:

For starters we will prepare the dough. Beat the butter with the sugar, then add the eggs, one by one. In a separate bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and baking soda. Add the flour mixture to the bowl with butter and eggs.

At the end, add sour cream and milk. Mix well and pour 3/4 of the dough obtained in a square baking tray (24 x 24 cm). In the remaining dough add cocoa and mix well. Pour the cocoa dough over the dough in the pan.

To prepare the coconut balls we have to beat the yolk with the sugar and the vanilla sugar. Then add the cheese, semolina and coconut flakes. Mix well. From the obtained composition we form balls. We push the balls into the dough.

Put the tray in the preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake the dough for 50 minutes. After it is baked, take it out of the oven and let it cool.

To prepare the butter cream, boil the milk together with the sugar, wheat flour and potato flour. Mix well until you get a thick pudding. Let the pudding cool. Beat the butter with the vanilla sugar and add it to the cold pudding.

Add the almond liqueur and mix well. We put the cream obtained over the cold countertop. Decorate the cake with grated chocolate. Good appetite and increase cooking!
